Presidential Candidate of the Convention peoples Party Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has prevailed upon voters in the Upper East region not to shy away from voting for him as a result of his state of disability.

Ivor Greenstreet was speaking to party faithful and some residents at a mini rally in Bolgatanga, Monday, as part of his nationwide tour dubbed “Apam Foforↄ” (new covenant)”.

According to him, there is the need for voters to look beyond physical disability and vote for leaders who have the needed inner qualities to govern citing a former American President Roosevelt who he says was physically disabled and yet lived as the greatest president to rule America.

“I am pleading with you; do not be afraid of the wheelchair. In this life anything can happen to you at any point in time, anything that God does is a blessing. The most important thing is your capacity, your intelligence, your desire to serve, your vision and your dreams.”

He further charged Ghanaians to vote for selfless leaders who would put the interest of the nation and its people first.

Imagine Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, leader of the Convention Peoples Party the “akorkor” (Hen) party left this land with nothing in terms of things for him. No bank account, no house, no nothing and that is because he only came to serve and so what we need is leaders who are coming to serve so that they will leave memories in the hearts and minds of Ghanaians of what they came to do,” he added.

The entourage made up of Prof. Edmund Delle – National Chairman and Leader, Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr – Campaign Strategist, Emmanuel Kwao Ogborjor – National Organiser, and some upper east regional executives also visited Zebilla in the Bawku west district.
