A member of the communication team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, Pascal Kasser Tee, has expressed concern over what he describes as a recurring failure by senior figures in both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP to spotlight emerging political talent.

He called on political party leaders in the region to prioritize promoting young and upcoming politicians. By doing so, visiting senior leaders would have the opportunity to recognize their potential, and young leaders would benefit from mentorship crucial for the region’s future political influence.

Speaking in an interview with A1 Radio, Mr. Kasser Tee explained that these “big wigs” identified as political office holders and influential party leaders often overlook opportunities to mentor and showcase young politicians. This, he noted, limits the visibility and growth of the next generation of leaders.

According to Mr. Kasser Tee, this oversight has contributed to the low number of young politicians from the Upper East Region making a significant impact at the national level within the two major political parties.

When asked whether these young politicians have demonstrated the character and competence to deserve such support, Mr. Kasser Tee affirmed that many have shown discipline, commitment, and readiness to serve.

He urged party leaders to deliberately support and promote promising youth, emphasizing that doing so would nurture future leaders and strengthen the region’s representation in national politics.
