The Bolgatanga East Constituency Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Upper East Regional Women’s Organizer hopeful, Evelyn Abingde, has predicted a poor electoral performance for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) if elections were held today.

Speaking in an interview on Bolga FM’s Zina Yela programme, Madam Abingde said the NDC government has failed to deliver on its promises after more than a year in office, leading to widespread disappointment among Ghanaians.

“Ghanaians are not happy with this NDC government, and they cannot even get 25% if we were to vote today because the majority of Ghanaians are disappointed,” she said.

She added that the NDC should not expect victory in the 2028 general elections, expressing confidence in the NPP’s chances.

“For the 2028 election, they [NDC] should forget about it because Dr. Bawumia is ready to come and address the challenges of this country,” she said.

Madam Abingde is seeking the support of NPP delegates to become the Upper East Regional Women’s Organizer.

She pledged to work with women across the region to strengthen the party’s appeal and help the NPP win power.

“I urge women across the region to support me. Together, we can make the NPP more attractive in the region,” she said.
