World Vision Ghana is set to officially launch its National Strategy for 2026–2030 on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, outlining a bold roadmap to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children across the country.

The fiveyear strategy, themed “HOPE for Every Child – Harnessing Opportunities for the Protection and Empowerment of Every Child,” reaffirms World Vision Ghana’s commitment to ensuring that by 2030, at least 2.8 million vulnerable children in Ghana grow up loved, healthy, educated, and empowered within safe and resilient communities.

The launch will bring together government representatives, development partners, faith leaders, private sector actors, civil society organisations, the media, and community representatives to reflect on Ghana’s child wellbeing priorities and the collective action required to address child vulnerability.

The strategy is built around four key pillars, Ministry Impact, Ministry Funding, Operational Excellence, and People, Learning & Growth. Collectively, these pillars are designed to strengthen programme outcomes, diversify resources, enhance efficiency and accountability, and build organisational resilience and leadership capacity.

The strategy aligns closely with Ghana’s national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular focus on health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), nutrition, gender equality, disability inclusion, and child protection.

Through integrated programming and strong collaboration with government institutions, faith actors, communities, and the private sector, World Vision Ghana aims to contribute to systemslevel change that places children’s wellbeing at the centre of development.

World Vision Ghana emphasises that achieving meaningful and lasting change for children requires collective responsibility. The National Strategy therefore calls on stakeholders at all levels to partner, innovate, and invest in solutions that protect children from harm, expand access to essential services, and empower families and communities.

The National Strategy Launch marks a significant milestone in World Vision Ghana’s over four decades of work in the country and sets the direction for the organisation’s contribution to child wellbeing in the years ahead.
