The Talensi Youth Parliament has commended Earl International Group (GH) Gold Limited for its contribution to youth employment and skills development in the Talensi District, describing the company’s operations as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation in the area.

The commendation came during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Talensi Youth Parliament to the mining company on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

The visit, led by the Speaker of the Talensi Youth Parliament, Bukari Clinton, was aimed at strengthening stakeholder relations between the non-partisan youth organisation, which is registered with the National Youth Authority, and the mining company.

Addressing management of Earl Group, Mr. Clinton acknowledged the company’s growing impact on the local economy, particularly through the employment of young people from the district and the provision of opportunities for skills development.

He noted that the presence of the company had significantly contributed to improving the livelihoods of many young people and their families.

On behalf of the Talensi Youth Parliament, he expressed appreciation to the company for prioritising the employment of indigenes of the district and appealed for additional job opportunities as mining activities continue to expand.

“The operations of Earl Group in the Talensi District have had a profound impact on socio-economic growth through youth employment and skills development. We commend the company for its continued commitment to creating employment opportunities for the youth of Talensi,” Mr. Clinton said.

Responding to the concerns and requests of the youth leadership, the Public Relations Officer of Earl International Group (GH) Gold Limited, Albert Azongo, assured the delegation that the company remains committed to creating more employment opportunities for people within its host communities.

He disclosed that the company is preparing to undertake a major recruitment exercise during the last quarter of 2026 as it moves into the production phase of newly developed mining shafts.

According to Mr. Azongo, mine planning projections indicate that Earl Group’s workforce is expected to increase to about 2,200 employees by the end of the year, with a significant proportion of the jobs reserved for qualified youth from the Talensi District.

“We expect our workforce to reach approximately 2,200 by the end of the year as production begins in the newly developed shafts. The youth of Talensi will constitute a significant proportion of that workforce,” he stated.

Mr. Azongo further assured the Talensi Youth Parliament that the company would continue to maintain an open-door policy by engaging regularly with stakeholders to improve its operations and strengthen its contribution to the social and economic development of the district.

He emphasized that stakeholder engagement remains central to Earl Group’s operations and pledged the company’s readiness to work closely with the youth, traditional authorities, local government, and other interest groups to promote peaceful coexistence and sustainable development.

The visit formed part of the Talensi Youth Parliament’s efforts to engage key development partners operating in the district to advocate for increased youth participation in local development initiatives and employment opportunities.
