The Youth President of Sumbrungu, Albert Adongo, has clarified that no individual or institution paid to purchase the land on which Sumbrungu Technical University is situated.
According to him, what was provided was compensation to affected landowners whose properties were acquired for the expansion of the university, and not payment for the land itself.
Mr. Adongo explained that the arrangement was reached through mutual understanding and agreement between the community and the authorities to pave the way for the development of the institution.
He further emphasized that the youth of Sumbrungu, together with the traditional leadership and other stakeholders in the community, remain united and committed to supporting initiatives that will promote development and improve the welfare of the people.
He called for continued collaboration among the university authorities, the government, and the people of Sumbrungu to ensure that the institution delivers lasting educational and socio-economic benefits to the community.
“Our doors remain open to work with every stakeholder who is genuinely interested in the development of Sumbrungu,” Mr. Adongo stated.
