Prosper Ayinbila Awuni has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executive elections in Bolgatanga Central demonstrated delegates’ readiness for change, citing what he described as their commitment to integrity, transparency and independent decision-making.
In a congratulatory message to the winners, Mr. Awuni said the elections highlighted the importance of free choice, fairness and a clear conscience in strengthening the party’s internal democracy.
He maintained that delegates demonstrated their willingness to choose leaders based on their convictions and the desire for a new direction, rather than financial inducements.
According to him, the outcome underscored the need to prioritise the collective interests of the constituency over personal interests and monetary influence.
Mr. Awuni said the conduct of delegates reinforced the importance of accountability and transparency in party elections, adding that such values were essential to building trust and promoting unity within the NDC.
“Integrity built trust, transparency strengthened the process, and a positive conscience guided the way,” he said.
He further noted that when delegates were allowed to make their choices freely, their decisions became a clear expression of their convictions and aspirations for change.
Mr. Awuni congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious and urged the party to uphold the values demonstrated during the elections to strengthen internal democracy and unity in the Bolgatanga Central constituency.
