The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Communications Officer for the Nabdam Constituency, Daniel Animah has called on delegates participating in the party’s constituency executive elections to elect leaders who will advance the party’s interests and strengthen its chances in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in an interview on A1 Radio, Mr. Animah urged delegates to set aside personal interests and choose competent candidates capable of rebuilding the party.

“It is my wish that delegates will put behind every other issue, go for the best candidates that would serve the interest of the party.”

He stressed the need for unity within the NPP as the party reorganizes following its defeat and prepares to return to power.

“We are in opposition. We don’t have anything to lose. We have to unite so we can reclaim power and serve the interest of the people better.”

Mr. Animah highlighted several flagship social intervention programmes introduced under previous NPP administrations, including the Free Senior High School programme, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and the Capitation Grant, describing them as policies that have benefited Ghanaians across the country.

He also encouraged Ghanaians to support the NPP in the next general election as the party works to regain political power.

“Going forward in 2028, we should ignore the umbrella and go for the elephant,” he urged.
