Residents of Zaare Community, a suburb of Bolgatanga have registered their displeasure at the deplorable state of roads in their community.
According to residents, although there have been several promises by different politicians, there has not been any work done on their roads.
Speaking in an interview with a1radioonline.com, assembly man for the area, Jaoab Ayuusa mentioned that since he was voted as the assemblyman in September 2015, he has made frantic efforts to get the roads of the area fixed by linking with the appropriate authorities but all his efforts have proven futile.
“I have written a letter to Urban roads, FIDA roads, and even the Regional Coordinating Council and when I fellow up, the response I get is it is in the pipeline. At the assembly level, you will always see the project in their books at any time; they will be rolling it over and over. I don’t actually understand, they will capture the project in their books but on the ground there is nothing,” a worried Ayuusa said.
He expressed worry over a poorly constructed culvert in Zaare community which he described as a death trap.
He used the opportunity to call on authorities to consider their cry and as a matter of urgency fix their roads in order to link them easily to communities such as Yorogo,Yaraga, Zorko, Namoo and Yolowugho.
