Deputy Attorney General and Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East constituency, Dr. Dominic Ayine has been maintained to run as Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in next year’s election.
Dr. Dominic Ayine beat off opposition from two opponents, Timothy Azaa and Lance Adogoba.
The Deputy Attorney General carried the day by winning 4,481 which represents 70.2% of the total votes cast.
Timothy Azaa came second by obtaining 1,169 of the votes cast whereas Lance Adogoba got 192 of the votes cast on the day.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr. Dominic Ayine will now represent the National Democratic Congress in next year’s general elections but is expected to stage a strong campaign to retain the seat.
