President Akufo-Addo has said the office of the special prosecutor will no time be established to help in the fight against corruption in the country.
He made this disclosure when he met the press at his maiden encounter with the press after six months in office as President.
He said the bill for the office of the Special Prosecutor has been gazette and will be presented to Parliament in the coming days.
He indicated that “We all in and out of Parliament should take an interest and help in the rapid passage of the Law that will serve us well”.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor is one of the Promises of the NPP government prior to the 2016 election and their efforts to fight corruption which they believe is the bane of the Ghanaian economy.
