Veteran Sound Engineer in the Upper East region, Selasi Kpoge of Fire blaze Entertainment has said artistes in the Upper East region do not work hard enough to sell their brands outside the region.
According to him, artistes in the region only work for recognition in the Upper East region rather thinking of conquering Ghana and going global.
“They produce songs and they send it to their few friends through whatsapp and they want to blow. They send their songs to only websites that are related to only bolgatanga and they want to make in in showbiz,” he told Suleman Akurugu.
He indicated that in the digital era, social media plays a key role in the music industry but just a few artistes in the region are making good use of it to sell their brands.
“They don’t use the opportunities that social media affords them. They don’t produce music videos to their songs and the few who do have few views because they do not boost their post In order get the viewership,” he said.
He indicated that until enough e=work is pumped into the industry, it will continue to wallow.
