Musician,Swag Boi has said the problem in the Upper East music industry has nothing to do with sound but the entrenched perception by Radio and club Djs about their music.
His comments come days after Dj Aluther of Word FM blamed the industry’s problems on poor sound quality in songs produced in the region.
The ‘Mobile Money’ hitmaker said “Our sound engineers put in a lot of work to bring out standard music which can be played anywhere in the country,excuse me to say probably Dj Aluther has his own definition of (Quality music) which he hasn’t told us yet”.
He indicated that “I love Upper East music and have paid keen attention to their lyrics,style and timing and can draw my conclusion that Bolga music is doing well”.
He used the opportunity to call on music promoters in the region to collaborate with artistes in the region in order to promote music made in the Upper East region because “it is our pride and heritage”
Swag Boi is signed onto Bozawi Entertainment, a record label in the Upper East region.
