Embattled Presiding Member of the Nabdam District Assembly, Douglas Torhutor has called the bluff of petitioners seeking his removal barely a month to the expiration of his tenure.

Some Members of the Nabdam Assembly in a petition to the District Chief Executive said the Presiding Member had misconducted himself by not exhausting all structures of the Assembly before going to court taking the Assembly to court prior to the Council of State elections.

The petitioners said he had brought the name of the Assembly to disrepute for stalling the Council of State elections for some hours due to his actions.

But speaking to A1 Radio news, the Presiding Member indicated that he has no fears and is ready to go according to any decision reached by the District Chief executive and the Assembly.

To him, the petitioners have no case against him because he has the right to seek for explanation at the court into issues he seems not to understand.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive and the petitioners met earlier today to decide on the fate of the Presiding Member.
