It has emerged that the Ghana Police Service lied about the fact that claims of corruption by Kwame A Plus against the two Chiefs of Staff, Abu Jinapor and Asenso-Boakye were baseless.

A leaked audio suggests that there could be an iota of truth in allegations leveled against the two chiefs of staff by the controversial musician and supporter of the New Patriotic Party.

In the audio available to A1 Radio, Cop turn politician in disguise was heard advising A Plus and expressed hope in meeting the President to tell him things happening at his blind side.

“I feel sad for Nana, I think he has good intentions but he is not going to achieve them. You need somebody who’ll be neutral to tell them exactly what is there for them to understand and I wish I could have an audience with the President himself. Because it looks like most of the things doesn’t get to him…yes I feel sad for him.”

At a point she said:” “as for the corruption aspect of it, from what you said and what we’ve gone to confirm, you wouldn’t be too far from right to say that this is what happened, but we need to manage… the people are your people. We need to find the best way to ensure that Korle Bu works the way we all want it to work.”

Kwame A Plus alleged on his Facebook page that the two chiefs of staff were corrupt and stupid.

The President called for an investigation into the allegations and the musician was later invited by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.

However, a report produced by the police after the investigations indicated that the musician could not prove his allegations and they were therefore deemed baseless.
