A Deputy Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Paga/Chaina constituency under the Kasena Nankana West, Thomas Kwarasey has rendered an unqualified apology to the District Chief Executive, Thomas Dandori for allegations against his person.
In August this year, the Deputy Youth Organiser of the party in the Chiana/Paga constituency alleged that the DCE aided his cronies to smuggle fertilizers meant for the Planting For Food an jobs project to neighboring Burkina Faso.
His allegation became a center of discussion on several platforms.
But in a statement retracting his allegation, the Deputy Youth organizer said he made those allegations as a result of a “slip of tongue”.
He indicated that he has written to the police and other stakeholders involved in the issue and have apologised for causing fear and panic in the constituency and tainting the hard earned reputation of the District Chief Executive.
He indicated that he did not retract his statement against the DCE and other people because of pressures from Party officials.
