Teachers of the Bolgatanga Nurses Training College have called off their sit down strike and have opened the offices of the Principal after the intervention of the Upper East regional minister, Rockson Bukari.
The teachers of the Bolgatanga Nurses Training College locked up the office of the Principal and embarked on a sit down strike for actions by the Principal they described as contrary to provisions of the institution.
They accused the Principal of not following due procurement process and failure to provide the school with the needed infrastructure.
But a swift intervention by the Upper East regional Minister has brought the issue to rest as teachers of the institution have called off their strike and have also unlocked the office of the Principal.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Ghana Health Services in the Upper East region and the administrator of the institution have been tasked by the regional minister to oversee the day to day administration of the school until issues are looked into.
