Actress Yvonne Nelson has asked ladies especially Ghanaian ladies not to prioritize marriage in order to change their goals to suit men.
According to her, it is better to have children with a man than sacrifice your life, career and everything just to please a man because he wants to get married to you.
Speaking on why she rejected a marriage proposal although she acknowledged that age was catching up with her, she indicated that “he is somebody i would have loved to have a family with but then he wanted me to move to London. My whole life was going to change because of him and it’s not something you should do. You don’t have to change your whole life because of a man because of marriage”.
She further said ” “I had nothing I was doing in the UK so i decided i had to chill, maybe see what the future holds and keep praying for someone else to come around”.
