Winner of 2016 edition of the Miss Navrongo Pageant, Doreen Abagali as part of activities to celebrate her birthday fed children on the streets of Navrongo.
The move by the beauty queen is to put smiles on the faces of these children who have to beg for alms before they can provide themselves with food.
Speaking to a1radionline.com, Doreen who is passionate about ridding streets of Ghana of children of school going age indicated that it saddens her heart to see children roaming the streets of Navrongo with no idea of where their next meal will be coming from.
She indicated that this move by her will be an annual programme as part of her contribution to society and her drive to fight streetism in Navrongo.
Doreen started a campaign to help reduce streetism and to get children on the streets in Navrongo into school in October with the support of FEHNA Entertainment who are the organizers of the annual Miss Navrongo Pageant which seeks to celebrate beautiful, intelligent and confident young ladies.
