The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has invited individuals who have declared their intentions to contest for the flagbearership position in the National Democratic Congress.
According to him, party officials including Asiedu Nketiah, Kofi Adams, Portophy are followers of John Dramani Mahama and will do everything to make John Dramani Mahama the flagbearer of the party in the 2020 election and therefore the earlier they join the NPP the better for them.
“I tell you, my sister, the NDC will field John Dramani Mahama in 2020 so all the people who have declared their intentions should make it a point to join the NPP. Joshua Alabi, Alan Bagbin and all the others should join the NPP so that when we defeat Mahama in the 2020 elections, they can now go back to their party,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
He indicated that with the NDC continuous criticism of the various policies of the government, paramount of which is the Free SHS, the Ghanaian has been educated and is ever ready to vote against them to stay in opposition till thy kingdom come.
“Instead of NDC been a responsible opposition and laud government for her good works and tell Ghanaians that the Free SHS is good so when they come they will make it better, they are rather telling Ghanaians that it’s bad and they will cancel it when they come. I tell you Ghanaians are watching and will never vote for them because they are wicked people who think of their parochial interest than the good of the country.”
