The MP for Bawku Central and Minister of Information and Media Relations, Mahama Ayariga, has called on the youth of Bawku not to resort to violence in seeking re-dress.

He indicated that, appointments and nominations to Chief Executive positions are the sole preserve of the President and therefore, called on his constituents to respect the President’s decision.

Mr Ayariga was speaking in an interview with the GNA in reaction to some unpleasant incidents that had occurred in Bawku in recent times where members of the NDC protested violently against the President’s nominee, Amadu Issah Wabu Karimu for the post of Municipal Chief Executive.

Mr Ayariga denied having any influence in the nomination as is being speculated.
