Musician, Sony Achiba has said Veteran Broadcaster, Fiifi Banson killed his desire to do music in Ghana after he refused to touch his CD when he sent it to Peace FM to get airplay and also insulting a colleague who accepted to play the song.
Sony Achiba who made this comment while speaking to A1 Radio’s Kofi Asante said “I sent my music to Peace FM for it to be played but some accepted and some rejected it. Something unfortunate happened when I went to Peace FM. When I sent the song Fiifi Banson did not want to even touch the song and when one Dj accepted to push the song, he told him not to play such a foolish song on air”.
He indicated that Ghanaian DJs are gradually killing the industry with the monies they take from artistes and as a result, most of the young artistes in the country are now resorting to fraud known in the local parlance as Sakawa.
He called on Ghanaians to support their own and ensure that they succeed with their music like other African countries are doing.
