The Biggest Radio station in the Upper East region, A1 Radio has started a campaign to force leaders of the region to fix the various street lights in the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga.
Some streets in the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga have been without street lights for a year and this has increased the incidence of crime and road accidents on those streets.
Speaking to the Campaign lead who is also the host of the station’s flagship programme, Daybreak Upper East, Samuel Mbura said “the objective is to get the entire regional capital streetlights and traffic lights worked on in shortest possible time.Only a few streets in the regional capital have the streetlights working which poses a security threat to residents”.
He indicated that the campaign is not limited to just the streets lights but also the broken traffic lights in the regional capital which has increased the incidence of road accidents in the regional capital.
Samuel Mbura said, “The broken traffic lights have also increased the incidence of accidents within the municipality”.
