Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid has disclosed that security agencies in the country have been asked to arrest all persons running organizations recruiting workers to various Arabian countries.
Several Ghanaians have had to go through manhandling at the hands of persons they work with in mostly Arabian countries where they are been recruited to.
Speaking to A1 Radio’s Samuel Mbura, the Information Minister indicated that it is sad that Ghanaians have to go through such treatment all in the name of enjoying a good life outside the country.
He indicated that government is committed to ending such migration that leaves citizens of the country stranded in other countries.
“Right now the security agencies are on the heels of these recruitment agencies and they will arrest and prosecute them. But if you have been able to save fifteen thousand dollars, you are an entrepreneur and do not need someone to take you to another country and become stranded.”
He indicated that government is working on having a collaboration with the Arabian countries so that government has a say in who is going and the kind of treatment meted out to them by their employers.
