Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly has taken pragmatic steps to re-roof the Tindonsobligo Primary School which was ripped off following recent rainstorm.

Parts of the front view of the six unit classroom block were ripped off thereby causing a halt to classroom activities.

But Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, Joseph Amiyuure who visited the school to access the extent of damage said plans are far advanced to fix the situation.

“It’s not everything that government should undertake, but where we have seen that it’s a major disaster, tomorrow my works engineer will come and take the necessary bill of quantities in relation to what has happen and I’m hoping that, if that is done by tomorrow, within the week, we will get a constructor to the site, to rehabilitate the place and ensure that, the area is in good form for learning and teaching to take place” the MCE stated.

Mr. Amiyuure therefore entreated the school management body and the community members to contribute their quota in ensuring the school gets roofed again.

“There are few areas where we have some zinc just flipping and hanging and I have asked the PTA chairman, the head teacher of the school and the community members to see how they can nail those areas back” Mr. Amiyuure entreated.

Bolgatanga Municipal Director of Education, Madison Amokase was worried that any possible delay in reroofing the school has a tendency of affecting the academic curriculum.
