AFB on Tuesday brought innovation into the non-financial institutional sector when it launched a flexible package to support salaried workers in both government and private sectors to acquire motorbikes on credit and pay over a period.
Known as Motorbike Solution, the package offers salaried workers, who otherwise will have challenges paying cash for motorbikes as means of transport to purchase same on credit.
AFB operates as a non-bank financial institution providing innovative financial service solutions to both public and private sector salaried workers through its over 26 branches nationwide including Tamale, Bolgatanga and Wa.
Managing Director of AFB, Arnold Parker, spoke to A1 Radio after the launch of Motorbike Solution in Tamale.
“What we have done, is to launch a product we thinks is very relevant for the people of Tamale and beyond and which is to offer them a very simple and accessible solution for transport, so we are saying that, we have partnered with a couple of transport partners and you can walk through their offices and picked up a bike of your choice and then we pre-finance you so that you can pay over a period of thirty six months. We think with this kind of convenient, we can now allow a lot people to have access to the kind of transport they required for the activities and business” He explained
However, he indicated that the move is in line with their vision to be the financial inclusion services provider of choice.
