An aspiring candidate for the regional chairmanship position in the upcoming NPP internal party race, has vowed to break the dangerous cartel of some particular group of persons at the regional party setup, who according to him want to make themselves more NPP than other illustrious party members.
Alhaji Otito Abdallah made the revelation on Friday, during his briefing with the media on his agenda for the campaign in the rundown to the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) internal regional elections slated for April 21st , 2018.
According Alhaji Otito, the NPP as a party has been bedeviled with serious “passionalism” that has divided it and caused them great losses during past elections, stressing that the statuesque must change this time to enable the party grow to the admiration of all, especially by keeping the party united, respecting and making its structures work effectively in order to raise the numbers they all desire to increase the party numbers.
He however after his engagement with media, proceeded to the election committee for the submission of his nomination form and counted some of his leadership effort as a serious party man who always wants to serve his people at all times.
“I have offered myself to serve the party in another capacity in the regional chairmanship for the party in the upper east region. I have been a dedicated member for the NPP and supported its fortunes in the Navrongo central constituency of which, I am the leading member. I was nominated by the then Presidential candidate of our party in 2015, to serve on the regional campaign team and I served with passion to deliver the Navrongo seat for the party. I was also appointed to serve as the 2016 election coordinator and am proud to say, that my wonderful team and I delivered all the result to our strong room and the first region to deliver our result to the headquarters”. He explained.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Otito says he is very convince that the discerning regional delegates will not disappoint him, even though some cartel within the party which includes a staff at the flagstaff house and a member of council of State who reside outside region, has entered into the region with a fake lists to convince delegates claiming that the president endorsed to work with some particular candidate listed.
“Some greedy individuals whose intentions is to keep people as regional executives and control them from Accra to serve their selfish interest to secure wealth and kill the party in this region, is one of the key evils I want to break and deliver the party forward Isha allah. If I am made the regional chairman for this region come the 21st of April, I shall work to break these cartels. Just within this week, these party cartels snicked into the region at night and started their evil deeds once again. The gang who most of you might have heard of arrived in the region, and had the guts to present fictitious lists of aspirants claiming His Excellency Nana Addo the president says they were the people he would like to work with”.
But according to Alhaj Otito, upon receiving the information, his campaign team quickly called flagstaff house to ascertain the facts. Unfortunately, the Flagstaff House denied knowing anything about the fictitious lists.
He used the opportunity to call on all delegates to disregard such evil moves by any member of council of state and worker at the flagstaff house, those he called cartels in the party.
