Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo says it is safer to transact business in Ghana today using Mobile Money system than using the traditional banks. To buttress his point, Mr. Adongo said the current government has created an environment which is not conducive enough for banks to flourish.
The Bolgatanga central legislator says banks in Ghana are collapsing under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as president and therefore, the secured way to transact business in Ghana today is through mobile system.
“Today, when you have a mobile money account, when you have a Vodafone mobile money account it will not collapse., when you have MTN mobile money account, it will not collapse, when you have Airtel mobile money account, it is safe, when you have a bank account, it is the worse and riskier account you can have”
“Banks are collapsing but mobile money accounts are safer today than the [bank] accounts of our country. We should bring back John Dramani Mahama to restore the confidence and the hopes of the people of Ghana and the world, so that, together we can live posterity a better generation than we are facing”
Mr. Adongo said this during the National Democratic Congress’s 9th edition of its ‘Unity Walk’ held in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region on Saturday May 5.
He believes Ghana can become a haven for banking business to boom if former president John Dramani Mahama is brought back to the realm of affairs of the country.
