The Ghana Nurses and Midwives trainees association have threatened to picket at the Health and Finance Ministries concurrently on May 28 if government fails to release their financial clearance.

According to the Association, the picketing will be as a result of the failure on the part of the Vice President and the Minister of Health to be proactive in finding appropriate and lasting solutions to concerns raised in a petition presented to them.

Speaking in an interview, the National PRO of the Association, Gadafi Avokbil  explained that up to date about 32 thousand health professionals who are due for employment are still unemployed for lack of financial clearance.

He indicated that there was the need to picket in order for the government to realize the need to release their financial clearance in order for them to be employed after several years of been unemployed.
