Nothern Regional REGSEC vows to punish culprits in Military, Police clash

The Northern Regional Security Council has vowed to punish culprits involved in the clash between the Military and the Police in the region.

On Thursday, there were reports of clashes between the Police and the Military where Police Personnel were brutally beaten by Military men in the region.

But in a meeting yesterday, the Northern Regional Security Council has instituted a committee to sit over the case and have warned that any individual found culpable will be severely punished.

On his part, the Northern Regional Minister,Salifu Saeed, said the region has its security challenges and will not accept any acts of indiscipline from security personnel.

He noted that, the two institutions are collaborating on various security issues in the region and therefore any conflict between them is a cause for concern.

He challenged police and military commanders in the region to reign in their subordinates and ensure the peace and security of the region.
