The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Northern Regional Secretary, Be-Awurebe has disclosed that the party ‘boys’ who attacked him stole an amount of GHc20,000 and an iPhone.
According to the NDC Secretary who was speaking on a Tamale based Radio, Diamond FM, said the NDC youth attacked him in front of Hon. Inusah Fuseini with cutlasses and weapons.
“… they attacked me with with cutlasses and weapons and dragged me to my car and took my iPhone and GHc 20,000’.
He indicated that after taken those monies and iPhone, they smashed and destroyed his vehicle as well.
The Northern Regional Secretary said Party leaders and Chiefs have called them and the youth group to resolve the issue amicably.
Some youth group affiliated to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) attacked the Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC Be-Awurebe in Tamale in the Northern Region.
According to reports, the group attacked the current Party Executives who were having a supposed ‘secret’ meeting organized by the Regional Secretary Be-Awurebe at undisclosed location in Tamale.
It is alleged that supporters of the Party Secretary also stormed the office of the Party and destroyed window glasses as well as some office items.
There has been serious confusion between the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Mobila and the Secretary of the Party, Be-Awurebe in the region after the Regional elections.
