A1 Radio has gathered that the Upper Regional Executive Committee of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has summoned one of the party’s Communicators for making some “unpalatable” comments against the Deputy Upper East Regional Minister, Frank Adongo Fusieni.

The NPP Communicator, Wilson Dabuo, in a discussion on Daybreak Upper on A1 Radio raised concerns about the commitment level of the Zebila Member of Parliament, Frank Fusieni Adongo, who doubles as the Deputy Regional Minister and called on him to step up his game.

Mr. Dabuo on that programme expressed worry that a personality like Cletus Apul Avoka who is staging a come back for the Zebila seat, would be an albatross on the neck of the party, hence the need for the NPP and the MP to work harder to maintain the seat come 2020.

Mr. Dabou added that the MP has lost touched with the grassroots in the Zebila Constituency which in his view, is a bad signal ahead of the 2020 general elections.

When asked of his view on the performance of the MP he said: “He has not, he has not, he has to up his game. You are resident in the region, how many times does he visit the constituency? How come he is no where to be found in his constituency; he is going to make our work difficult as communicators. The people you represent don’t see you and you don’t visit the constituency. Who are you working for?”

However, his opinion has not gone down well with the party’s Regional Executives and has landed him in a “big trouble” and he could be sanctioned for what the executives find unhealthy for the NPP and the Deputy Minister.

A1 Radio can confirm that the NPP Communicator has already appeared before the Regional Executives at a meeting that was chaired by the Upper East Regional Chairman, Anthony Namoo.

According to our reliable source, the Executives are considering suspending Mr. Dabou from representing the party on radio for sometime, to serve as deterrent to other Communicators.
