BREAKING!: Covid19 suspects test negative in Bongo

A1 News can confirm that the reported suspected cases of Covid19 in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region have tested negative.

The results came in on Saturday afternoon a reliable source has confided in A1 News on grounds of anonymity.

An Authority at the District told A1 News that “they’ve tested negative but will still be quarantined for the mandatory 14 days.

The authority indicated that this is to ensure that procedures are followed accordingly as prescribed by health professionals.

He however, hinted that information have it that there are two other Returnees from abroad that came into the district which the health Team will soon pick them up for quarantine.

It will be recalled that a UK Returnee and his friend both names withheld were quarantined on Wednesday for suspected case of Covid19 in the Bongo District.

The suspect had travelled to high risk Covid19 countries ;UK,India and Dubai before returning to his hometown in Bongo.

But upon arrival, an emergency response Team in Bongo picked him up with his friend he came with from Accra for investigations.

The news sent shivers down the spines of residents in that enclave because speculations were that,the results may come out positive since he came from Covid19 countries.

But this good news of a negative result after their samples were taken to Kumasi for testing will calm nerves and tension in Bongo.
