Ghana is a nation bonded in peace and love for humanity, respect for one another; and observance of rule of law is sacrosanct to us as a people says the Paramount Chief of Nangodi Traditional Area, Naba Yelzooya Asaga II.

According to him, a nation cannot thrive in the midst of chaos, rancor, and violence; hence the youth ought to be circumspect during and after December 7 elections.

Speaking at his Palace ahead of the 2020 elections, Naba Asaga II noted that the election must be seen as a mere game of test of popularity and not a do or die affairs.

“In this game, some will definitely lose and others will win. Winning or losing does not encourage enmity. Ghana is far bigger than any political party, group of persons, or entities. So the youth should be circumspect during and after the election.”

He further noted that violence and destruction of lives and properties do not speak well of the democratic politics the country has practiced over the years.

According to him, “Every one of us is entitled to only one vote and we should go and cast that vote which is our power and leave peacefully to our homes and wait for the results in the calm of our homes.”

Naba Asanga II, therefore, beseeched the youth, especially those in the Upper East Region to vote wisely based on good politics that have the potentials of transforming the country.

“Ghana must develop, and those with good politics deserve your vote, so vote wisely to transform this great nation.”
