Upper East Regional branch of the leading waste management organization, Zoomlion Ghana has used its annual thanksgiving service to sensitize the youth on the need to maintain peace before, during, and after the December 7 elections.

According to the Branch Manager of the organization, John Sackey, the country can only be developed when there is total avoidance of violence during and after the elections.

Addressing the youth and some workers of the organization, Mr. Sackey noted that his outfit was not in bed with any political party and will never be as its purpose was to ensure “we have a clean and safe environment for all and sundry.”

The organization also used the thanksgiving service to march on the principal streets of Bolgantanga to encourage and educate the public on the need to maintain peace in this year’s elections.

Touching on the thanksgiving service, Mr. Sackey, explained that it is an annual event that usually brings together all workers of the company, members of the public, and traditional leaders to thank the Almighty God for His mercies throughout the year.

Appreciating the commitment of some workers, Mr. Sackey noted that six (6) workers were awarded for their kind participation and commitment toward work.

The thanksgiving service was held at the Church of Pentecost in Bolgatanga.
