Deputy Director for the Diaspora Affairs at the Office at the President, Dr. Nadia Adongo Musah, has called on her fellow women to convince their husbands to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to bring more development.

According to her, the four years under the governing NPP has realized more development for women in terms of rural women empowerment as well as the provision of base social amenities.

Speaking yesterday at a mini-rally organized for women in Gambibgo, a community in Bolgatanga East District, Dr. Nadia charged the participants to vote based on development and not unfilled juicy promises made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“We need development; we want our children to be responsible in the future. Our struggles to see our children attend quality and better schools cannot be achieved if we don’t vote massively for the NPP to do more. And we cannot do it alone without the involvement of our brothers, fathers, and husbands. So I entreat you all to think about your children’s future and vote for Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP to do more.”

Touching on some developmental projects, Dr. Nadia who is a native of Gambibgo, indicated that it was through the efforts of the NPP government that got some households in the community connected to the national grid.

She added that under the current administration, the struggle for potable water amongst community members was now thing of the past as more boreholes have been drilled to ease women’s burden.

NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Rev. Emmanuel Abugri Abole, said under his two years and few months term as District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, he has realized over 70 boreholes for various communities; as well as connected majority of households to the national grid.

Rev. Emmanuel Abugri Abole, addressing the gathering

“Just two years and a few months, I was able to solve pressing needs for the various communities in this constituency. Imagine, my opponent spent 8 years yet, in terms of providing potable water for the people, one cannot pinpoint any. So give me the mandate by voting for me as your Member of Parliament (MP) to do more.”

Based on the development projects undertaken, Rev. Abole said he will be surprised if he fails to make it to Parliament come 2021.
