The Parliamentary Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Navrongo Central Constituency in the 2020 general elections, Tangoba Abayage on Thursday donated 150 dual desks to the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly for onward presentation to schools in the area.
Madam Abayage who also doubled as the Regional Minister for Upper East until January 6, 2021, since the elections has not stopped fulfilling the promises she made to the people of Navrongo constituency in the run up to the elections. One of such promises includes drilling of boreholes for communities that lack drinking water.
Her latest donation of dual desks brings the total of dual desks she has so far given to Navrongo Central Constituency to 600.
Below is her Facebook post on her donation today.
“Today I delivered 150 dual desk [s] to KNMA for onward delivery to schools within the Municipality.
This brings the total of dual desks I’ve so far given to Navrongo Central Constituency to 600.
I’m still in deficit by 400 desks. Of course the campaign took the better part of me, but in due course we shall definitely deliver on every promise made.
A comfortable sitting space for a child in school isn’t a political statement; it’s a right! We shall do our best.”
