Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen, has stated that not even the gods of Larabanga will dare help former President John Dramani Mahama to win his case in the supreme court.

Though lawyers for John Mahama have argued that the evidence they have given, including the Electoral Commission’s own declaration on December 9, clearly shows that no candidate obtained more than 50 percent of the valid votes cast, as prescribed by Article 63 (3) of the 1992 Constitution, and have called for a re-run of the 2020 elections, the outspoken lawyer thinks otherwise.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen told A1radioonline.com that the former president, John Mahama has no evidence to prove his case and lost his case the very day his lead counsel told the court that he had ended his cases.

The outspoken lawyer noted that as far as the law is concerned not even gods from Larabanga, or Mallams from Damongo can do the magic for John Mahama to win the case.

“His petition was collapsed the very day he decided not to file a witness statement. And as we stand now, not even gods from Larabanga, mallams from Damongo, or Catholic priests can help him to win his cases.”

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has set Thursday, March 4, 2021, as the judgment day for the 2020 presidential election petition.
