COVID-19: CKT-UTAS offers free data to get all students to participate in online studies

As part of efforts to keep track of its students in the academic calendar amidst the coronavirus pandemic, CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences is provided free data service for its students.

The initiative, the university says seeks to end academic disruptions amongst students and lecturers in this uncertain time regarding COVID-19.

Dr. Vincent Ankamah-Lomotey, the Registrar of CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences revealed this to A1 Radio.

According to him the outbreak of the virus disrupted academic activities hence the need for such an initiative to keep track of the academic work, especially amongst students.

“When we resumed school and started the online classes, we realize that a lot of the students were not joining and the complaint was internet challenges. Some too were also talking about not having data to participate in the online classes. So, we thought that why not assist them in that line. So, the data offer came to play. We had a deal with Vodafone Ghana and they are providing the students with data.”

He noted that the university will ever be ready to render any support necessary for its students to have more efficient studies.

He however assured the students that his outfit will always be available to assist them in any difficulty they faced regarding access to the data service.
