Upper East Minister starts meeting paramount chiefs to seek their support

The Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu has started paying courtesy calls on the 16 Paramount Chiefs in the region.

This has been a regular practice in the region for new Regional Ministers to familiarize themselves with the various traditional authorities and their traditional areas, to learn at first hand the challenges and economic opportunities.

From Tuesday, March 23, 2021, the minister will call on the paramount chiefs of the Nakong, Kayoro, and Katiu Traditional Areas in the Kassena-Nankana area.

On Wednesday, March 24, the minister and other staff from the Regional Coordinating Council will visit the Nangodi and Sakote Traditional Areas. Thursday, March 25, will be the turn of Naaga, Kologo, and the Navrongo Traditional Areas. The rest are as follows:

Friday, March 26, 2021, Paga and Mirigu Traditional Areas

Tuesday, March 30, 2021, Zuarungu and Bawku Traditional Areas

Wednesday, March 31, Bongo and Sandema Traditional Areas

Thursday, April 1, Tongo and Chiana Traditional Areas
