No Easter celebrations at Vea Dam – Bongo District Assembly warns

Authorities at Bongo District Assembly of the Upper East Region has banned any form of gathering to observe Easter festivities in the district.

According to a letter signed and copied A1radionline.com,  the ban is in conformity with President Nana Akufo-Addo’s directive on Covid-19 safety protocols to tackle the spread of the virus.

By this directive from the Assembly,  Easter celebrants are not expected to gather at the Vea or any other recreational ground for any form of celebration regardless of their numbers.

It has therefore warned that, punitive actions will be taken against law offenders.
