Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sansui Issah has asked Ghanaians to stop the hypocrisy and understand that the recent power outages are caused by some technical challenges hence cannot be classified as dumsor.

According to him, Ghanaians endured dumsor for 4 years under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government therefore they should bear with the recent power challenges as the NPP government is bent on ending such unfortunate happenings.

The communicator who spoke on Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio noted that the unfortunate happenings in the power sector came as a surprise, and strategic measures are underway to ending such happenings and cannot be classified as dumsor.

He said “We cannot say that today’s power outages can be classified as dumsor, no! We are not in dumsor because under the NDC government which real dumsor happened, there was a timetable for it. So, if we were patient for four years under the NDC government, I think we should be more than patience to listen to what the power sector technocrats are saying. They are giving us three to four months to fix things and I hope we can trust them on that.”

Mr. Sansui stressed that Ghanaians should hold the technocrats at the power sector by their words as they assure Ghanaians of resolving the recent power outages soon.

He, therefore, said that Ghanaians should see the NPP government as a governing administration that has them at heart and will do anything possible to cushion their livelihoods.
