National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Kakra Essamuah is questioning why a right-thinking person will hastily conclude that the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is fueling the ‘#fixthecountry’ campaign.

According to the director, it was rather the induced economic hardship that the NPP-led government has caused to the good citizens of Ghana is responsible for such campaigns to demand better living conditions.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio Lawyer Essamuah noted that the actions by the citizens have shown how badly the NPP-led government has mismanaged the country’s economy.

“It will be out of place, uncooked conclusions to say that leaders of NDC have hands in this intended campaign mounting on the government to fix the country. The actions by the youth simply indicate that the NPP government is not manning the country right. There is so much hunger in the system.”

Touching on whether the former President, John Mahama has drawn an estimated budget of Ghc4,830,000 to support the campaigners of their intended ‘#fixthecountry’ demonstration slated for May 9, 2021, Lawyer Essamuah asks the public to disregard such notions.

According to him such accusations and suppose budget letter was designed and manifested by some persons belonging to the NPP to discredit the ‘#fixthecountry’ campaign and divert people’s attention about the real purpose of the campaign.

He said “The supposed budget letter is designed by the NPP members to divide attention, so don’t waste your time on it. Why will NDC support a group of youth who think that their lives are not better under this government and intend to demonstrate that to the President.”
