President sees his critics as enemies – Apaak

Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency of the Upper East Region Dr. Clement Apaak says, President Nana Akuffo Adoo view those who criticize his policies and government as enemies.

Dr. Apaak, who was speaking in an interview on Day Break Upper East show on A1 Radio, questioned the rationale of the president accession that his government and policies were undertake by the media and he is the most vilified president because the media has a responsibility to act as voice for the voiceless in society so the media space provided to parents, teachers, among the challenges of the free SHS program can not be construed to mean a media house is waging a war against a government policy.

He quizzed whether the president hated his opponents when he was an opposition leader, where he heavily criticized the president at the time.

Dr. Apaak, re-emphasized his position that the president did not merit the honorary doctorate that was conferred on by the University of Cape Coast over the weekend because such honors are usually conferred on the person after they are done serving office for oblivious reason.

Touching on the issue of the court ruling on the Rastafarian student, Dr. Apaak said before the court ruling he had already started Achimota school position in the matter was weak and the court simply upheld the dictates of the 1992 constitution which is supreme and Achimota School regulation is subsidiary to the right education as stipulated by the Constitution.

Dr. Apaak, use the opportunity to wish farmers in the Upper East region the best as the rainy season sets in and admonished duty bearers to be proactive in resolving issues affecting the people during the rainy season.
