Ashanti Regional Police Command has picked up two individuals in connection with the murder of a social media activist Ibrahim Mohammed also know as Kaaka.
Late Kaaka is a #FixTheCountry activist and a member of the Economic Fighters League in the Ejura Municipality of the Ashanti region.
The suspects identified as Ibrahim Issaka “Anyass” and Fuseini Alhassan.
Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, told the media that the two suspects were arrested at about 10:45 pm on Monday, 28 June 2021, following police intelligence.
ASP Ahianyo said according to witness account, the deceased was ambushed in front of his home at Dagombaline in Ejura at about 1:30 pm on Sunday, 27 June 2021.
He further explained that, the deceased was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he died on Sunday, 28 June 2021.
Mr Ahianyo urged the public to volunteer information that will help the police to unravel circumstances leading to the murder of the social media.
