Bolgatanga Technical University to collaborate with Indian universities for academic excellence

The Bolgatanga Technical University is to get academic collaboration from counterpart universities in India.

This came to light when the India High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Sugandh Rajaram paid a visit to the university on Monday.

Mr. Rajaram stated that, he hopes to build a linkage between the university and other universities in India for effective academic work especially in the area of technology since India is a technological hub in the world.

“Bolgatanga Technical University is a Technological university with repute in this country, and India is a Technological hub world wide that can be of use for the development of this institute because it is contributing a lot to the development of this country.

So my meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of the university and his colleagues is to see how this university can work with some of the universities in India as counterparts universities in the areas of academics, research among others. And how this universities can build university to university linkage, this is important for our academic communities globally”, he started.

The India High Commissioner who is in the Upper East Region for the first time on an official visit, spoke to the media after he met with the management of the Bolgatanga Technical University in Sumbrungu.

Professor Samuel Erasmus Alnaa, the Vice-Chancellor of the Bolgatanga Technical University welcomed the idea and said, India has invested so much in the educational sector which Ghana needs to effectively collaborate with them for more technological skills.
