It has has emerged that one of the two deaths recorded as a result of Saturday’s bus crash in Zebilla is Gariba Abdulai, a level 100 Chemistry student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST).
He was on his way to attend a scholarship interview scheduled to place today August 30, 2021 in Zebilla when the unfortunate incident happened.
In a statement released yesterday, the leadership of the Toende Students Union have asked the caretaker DCE and the National Scholarship Secretariat to put the interviews on hold.
The statement further urged the interviewing body to make use of online platforms to cater for students who are in distant institutions.
