Rapper turned Minister of the gospel, Lord Kenya, has said life as a Christian has not been easy but he does not regret taking that bold decision to do away with his old life and follow the tenets of the almighty God.

According to him, after he took the bold step, he has faced lot of persecution and has lost most of his close pals because he could no longer go out to drink or smoke “weed” with them like he used to.

The former heavy weight rapper was speaking to A1 Radio’s worshipper on the work and happiness show Monday.

He mentioned that, being a Christian has been difficult, considering the sluggish inflow of cash  as compared to how frequent  he used to earn when he was of the world but was quick to add that, he is content with the work the holy spirit is using him to do, and believes he will never be in need.

“Yes I do not get huge sums of money like I used to, but, I am satisfied with what the Holy Spirit is using me to achieve. When you come to my office, I am always busy because, I have been booked for conventions and other programs where I go and impact lives.  I am really happy with what the lord is using me to achieve.”

When asked about when he was going to release his next gospel song, Lord Kenya said he isn’t in the rush to come out with any song at the moment but he is rather waiting for the lord’s direction and guidance.

“I am a soldier and what a soldier does is to prepare himself for an order to go to war. I am not in a rush to release any song for now but when the commander directs me to, I will certainly release another gospel song,” he said.
