Tullow Oil Donates PPE’s to Upper East Health Directorate

Tullow Oil, a multinational oil and gas exploration and production company has donated some Personal Protection Equipment’s (PPE’s) to the Upper East Regional Health Directorate for distribution across the region to enhance health care delivery in the region.

At a short ceremony in Bolgatanga to donate the equipments, health adviser at Tullow Ghana Limited Dr Ernest K. Nagali reiterated that Ebola is a deadly disease that needs to be prevented by all citizens across board and Tullow as a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company is committed to contributing to the safety of citizens as part of its social responsibilities and Upper East is among the regions they have chosen to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE’s) in a quest to safeguard against any possible outbreak of Ebola and other deadly diseases.

According to him the items are worth $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) .The personal protection equipment’s were handed over to the upper east regional director of health Dr. Koku Awunoor Williams.

Dr. Awunoor expressed a profound gratitude for the kind gesture and further encouraged Tullow to always remember the people in this part of the country, whenever the needs arise.
