The multiple award-winning music trio, Rockcity Bongo, based in Upper East Region have seemingly thrown their weight behind the MCE for Bolgatanga, Rex Asanga’s directive to relocate the butchers in the Municipality to the ghc1.2 million ultramodern abattoir at Yorogo, a suburb of Bolgatanga.

Reacting to a post on A1 Radio’s Official Facebook page, the Official Facebook handle of the music trio, Rockcity intimated that the move is a good response towards expanding development in the Municipality.

“We would like to think that’s how you open up a town or city. They should continue moving there,” the trio posted.

It would be recalled that after the initial refusal to relocate to Yorogo, the butchers have packed bags and baggage and have begun operating at the new facility. While the Chief Butcher, Tindanzor Kolduug said the new facility was comfortable, the young butchers insisted that the Chief butcher is in cahoots with the Assembly.

Rockcity is a group made up of Joe Mills, Kruukeka and Kurt. Earlier this year, the trio released a new song.

The new song dubbed “Chairman” features Teflon Flexx.
